What does fitness mean to you?
Fitness for me as an actor is more of necessity to keep myself fit and presentable to the audience.What does your exercise regime consist of?
After starting my career in acting and working on two serials simultaneously I don't get much time to work out. So nowadays I do my cardio and related activities for 45 minutes on alternative days.Do you keep a check on your diet?
Yes, but in a different way because I'm a foodie and love tasting variety of food items.What does your regular diet consist of?
My diet consists of everything and anything that is palatable (smiles). As my family's spiritual beliefs I avoid sea food but except for that I consume everything. That's also because I believe in enjoying life to the fullest and it's incomplete without good food.Do you find yourself to be fitter after the workout?
Absolutely, I believe that every person who performs certain physical activity his/her body becomes less vulnerable to diseases and also the resistance power from within is increased.Any regular excuse to skip the gym?
No, in fact I find excuse to find some time for gym.Do you look upon calories when it comes to food?
No I feel calories are more conscious of me than I'm of them (smiles). And I feel the reaction on the body by certain kind of food intake is very subjective. For me my body type is such that how much ever I eat it doesn't get reflected on my body and if I aim to, I can lose weight within a week.How were you in your teens and now?
I was a swimmer during school age so I have also carried a body of an athlete and that physical training in younger years is helping me even now. So I was never very skinny or obese I was just healthy to suit my age.
Suggest some fun ways to work out?
I think swimming is the best way because firstly through it the entire body gets toned and secondly it's fun to be in water and go to a club where there is good, interesting crowd coming in as that would work as a positive inclination to go regularly.What's your idea of a fit person?
I think a person who works out regularly develops a different kind of charm on his face and when he carries a sweet smile along with it I feel he/she looks perfect.Your favorite food item you started avoiding after going to gym?
In fact it's the other way round I have started eating everything that I used to avoid earlier (smiles).Who do you think has an impressive body in the industry?
Other than me (smiles) I think Hrithik Roshan
and Salman Khan
