The charming Anas Rashid a.k.a Sooraj Rathi of the Star Plus channel's daily soap 'Diya Aur Baati Hum', in conversation with Tellybuzz on what if he was not an actor...

What if you were not an actor?
If I was not an actor I would definitely be a chef. I had my own restaurant in Punjab too.

Is your family into Hotel management or do they own a restaurant?
No, my family is not in either of these businesses. In fact, nothing related to restaurants

If you get a chance to change your career, will you do so?
Well I love acting a lot now. But if ever I do quit this field I would definitely become a chef. Currently I am very happy with my acting (smiles).


How did acting happen to you?
Acting happened to me by chance. It wasn't planned and I give all the credit to my friends and family who motivated me to enter this field.  Well it all started when I won Mr.Punjab during college days. One of the directors approached me for a music video.I did 6 music videos at a stretch. Everyone was very shocked to see on screen and that I have good features and can go ahead in this acting field too. After this,  I got my first break on television with 'Kahin Toh Hoga'. This is how my journey began(smiles).

    Wow, Anas, what an interview, superb dude just superb, you have replied to each and every question wonderfully. Through your answers, could make it out how much you love and care for your family, this is such a nice thing dude, for sure each and everyone should respect one's family and yes I really like the way you replied for a husband - wife relationship, Sooraj Rathi is the perfect husband and hopefully all the couples should take good lessons from this character of yours.
