What is the reason behind Monica's eviction? Will the truth ever get unfolded in front of public? Only time can answer..

The first season of Bigg Boss had the producers (Endemol) diligently arranging interviews of each and every evicted contestant to the print and electronic media. The second season too had the channel (COLORS) and the production house chasing the media to interview Sanjay Nirupam and Rakhi Vijan, the first two evictees. But last week when Monica Bedi got evicted, everyone connected to the show did a volte face as they refused to give away her contact number or even schedule interviews. Probably, top cop Rakesh Maria's recent statements about wanting each and every unedited bit of information about Abu Salem's moll from the channel had got something to do with this. The channel and the makers possibly developed cold feet as they suddenly seemed to have got nothing to do with Monica.

While they possibly thought that they had managed a casting coup of sorts to get the controversial girl inside the house, what they probably didn't bargain for was Maria's statement and the excessive curiosity of both the media and the law-keepers in Monica. And so it looked as though they wanted to wash their hands off her as fast as they could (and sorry we don't buy the argument of 'But the audience voted her out'; don't we all know how real these shows are?). After all, the channel is still in its baby days and didn't want to risk the 'controversial Monica' to tarnish their show.

As for Monica, her whole purpose of "presenting her true self" was lost as the housemates nominated her within two weeks. Here's hoping at least Sanjay Nirupam remembers his promise of helping her get a house in suburban Mumbai.
