Pick of the Week: Mid June 08

We are back with the All-Famous Pick of the week!! So get ready for the "Special Tadka"!! With our new Addition "Blooper of the Week Award" which will be given to the most Shocking Blooper shown in a serial! Also look for the new addition, "Dialogue of the Week".

Grihasthi :

Scene of the Week : When all the women of Balraj house prepare the party food on their own, spoiling the plan of Veera to humiliate Simar infront of all! The way they were shown cooking food with Title track in the background left viewers in tears and you feel like rooting for Womann power! Later when they laid the food the expression on the face of Veera , full of disbelief and surprise leaves audiences in splits and you feel pity on Veera rather than on Simar! Way to Go Balraj Brigade!

Dialogue of the Week: When in amusment and shock Veera asks Amrit that how come you all prepared the food in such a hurry, and Amrit replies that "Koi bhi Aurat akeli nahin hai, humare ghar ki sare auratein uske sath rahenge" left Veera speechless and is forced to eat her own words!

Style Icon of the Week : If you have not seen the Party scene of the Grihasthi this week , then please do it asap as Rishi aka Anand Suryavanshi looked Dashing and Debonair like never before in his Nehru suit teamed up with stubble! This surely was the look to kill and die for! and you cant resist but to say..Black is Burning Hot!

Blooper of the Week : When Simar consumes Alcohol mixed in her juice given by Veera and falls on the floor! Then except Rishi nobody has seen her drunk or noticed it ! Strangely though..all the guests start accusing her like what a shame to see the daughter-in-law of such a family drink ! How come they all knew why she fainted! We have seen that usually fainting has been associated with various other "reasons" in soaps ,this was something new!

Kumkum Ek Pyara sa Bandhan :

Scene of the Week: A rip off from the old Classic movie jane bhi do yaaron worked again here ,in the form of combination of Mahabharat and Mughal-E-Azam! The entire scene was a hilarious one where Sumit dresses up as a character of Duryodhan from Mahabharat, but when he appears on stage he starts saying the lines of Mughal-E-Azam leaving the audience in splits. The entire scenario where all the characters of the show are engrossed in their play, and here Sumit makes a fool of himself and brings Mughal-E-Azam ethics into it and provides us with a laughter delicacy through out. The audiences are left to wonder which play they are watching!! Whatever it was this cake was served with lots of humor and entertainment!!

Dialogue of the Week: Has to be when Sumit dressed up as a Duryodhan brings Mughal-E-Azam mode by saying: “Ruk jao, yeh vastraharan main nahi hone de sakta, chahe aap mujhe deewar mein hi kyun naa chunwado”. Ironically this is the same scene where all the characters on the stage are saying that “Jab Draupadi ko Vastraharan se koi problem nahi hai, toh tumhe kyun hai” The entire scene left audiences with lots of comic dose and was a sheer surprise when they saw Sumit performing those lines at ease. Well done creatives!!

Style Icon of the Week: Without a doubt it has to be Husein. Whether he plays Duryodhan or takes a disguise of a Sadhu to deceive his brother, this one actor takes the cake of being a super sexy avatar of the characters he plays on screen along with his regular reincarnated version of Sumit Raichand with ease. He has convinced the entire audience fraternity that you give him any role and he will be portraying to the hilt!!

Blooper of the Week: Too much use of body doubles make the scenes uncomfortable to watch! Secondly it was quite strange to find that the voice overs used for Sumit and Kumkum were harsh. They were not their original voices but somebody piping in for them, which sounded unreal as the loyal audiences of the show are well aware of Husein and Juhi’s toned voices!!

Kis Desh Main Hain Mera Dil:

Scene of the Week: This week the story of kis desh main..took a "u" turn and breaking the monotony seen in other programs, was the scene where Prem & Heer are in chawl room; Heer is cleaning the room Prem comes wet he moves toward her and heer keep back and she touches the wall, Prem takes the towel from the wall and moves out. In this scene you can see the chemistry without any words or vulgarity being shown. Words were not needed to portray the depth in their relationship.

Style Icon of the Week: This week all we can say is style Icon has to be Prem aka Harshad Chopra, he looked really hot in the wedding outfit; whether it be his white sherwani or even a simple white shirt with black pant, he is simplicity personified!

Dialogue of the Week : Prem warns Dj that enough is enough and how dare she hit Heer. He then tells everyone that from now on if anyone raises their eyes towards Heer..he will remove their eyeballs. He then tells Dj that Heer never came between him and his family and how dare she hit Heer and adds that she is not alone in this world because Heer and Prem are the same, Heer Prem ka prateek hai and Prem is in Heer. They both hug and and he holds her in the most romantic way ,‘Heer Ke Maa baap nahi hain to is ka kya ye matlab hai ki woh akeli hai . Aisa nahin hai.Main hoon us key saath agar kisi ne bhi Heer ko haath lagane ki kosshish ki to jala key rakh kar doon ga.’

Blooper of the Week : How come Prem arranges for a room in such a hurry and when they left the house they were not carrying any bags then how come we spot them in different clothes is a question our brain is bombarded with! They even have towels, dusting clothes everything wow!! Thoda Pyar thoda Magic!

This week's Blooper of the week award goes to the show Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyan and the very Filmy Death scene of the main Villian ..So Put your hands together and de taali!!

During the Bhavishya Death sequence, all the "betiyan" of Garodiya family gathered around in a cave to give the evil Bhavishya the befitting end ! This was followed by some fiery dialogues and burning him later, but we are still wondering how come inside the cave a storn came?? That too, with dry leaves flying over and bells of the temple ringing on their own! Maybe the divine intervention or director's intervention! Choose your side!
