Welcome the New Year!

    

Another year has smoothly slipped away. 2010 is here to stay. At least for the next 12 months we can say. Have we learnt anything by the way? Or are we the same silly people laughing over PJs all day?

We will never know. But what the heck? It's New Year and we might as well have a good time forgetting all worries. It's always nice to have something new, albeit time. It gives a feeling of refreshment and hope to look forward for happier, zingier things in life.

Your favorite serial of 2009: Bandini! Of course! Other than that every serial was good in its own way.

The actor or TV character you missed seeing in the year 2009: Smriti Irani as Tulsi

The show that you are looking forward to do well in the New Year: Obviously Bandini.

Your learning experience in 2009: The whole year has been one long learning experience.  I got to learn a lot about acting from senior actors.

Any special incident that has happened to you this year: Bagging the role of Santo in Bandini.

Your resolutions for New Year: None yet…but I'll try to do more of things that make my parents happy.

Any goals set for the New Year: To be a good actress.

Your learning experience in 2009: Apart from learning more about acting, I also learnt power yoga.

Any special incident that has happened to you this year: Well I don't know if I can call it special or memorable. It so happened that once when I was walking near my building, an elderly lady came up to me and said- 'Hello you dance very well'. I figured she must have spotted me dancing somewhere and politely said thanks. Then she went on to call me Salman, and then I realized she mistook me for someone else (laughs). I then cleared her misunderstanding and the lady left without a clue of the real me.

Your resolutions for New Year: Many and I have this superstition that if I disclose it, I won't be able to keep it so…

Any goals set for the New Year: The final product of your resolution lies in achieving your goal. So can't talk about those too.

Any special incident that has happened to you this year: I bagged a Bollywood film.

Your resolutions for New Year: Make no more resolutions.

Any goals set for the New Year: To do at least two films.

The serial which promised a lot but failed to deliver: Bhaskar Bharti and Ladies Special. Wonder why these shows went off air.

The actor or actress who has made a spectacular comeback in year 2009: Mona Vasu, as she won the title of Jungle Queen on Iss Jungle.

The actor or TV character you missed seeing in the year 2009: Kasturi, of course.
                          
The show that you are looking forward to do well in the New Year: Do Hanson ka Joda and I need all your blessings.

Your learning experience in 2009: That working honestly everyday is a fight we need to face every day. We need a lot of dedication and also we need to be down to earth to be able to do that.

Any special incident that has happened to you this year: Bagging Do Hanson ka Joda. I am totally blessed that I got such a nice show and an opportunity to work with Rajshri Productions.

Your resolutions for New Year: To work hard, spend lots of time with family and to give 100 percent to my work.

Any goals set for the New Year: To start my classical dancing and to work on my parallel cinema which I am writing.

The actor or actress who has made a spectacular comeback in year 2009: Kunal Kapoor, he is playing a nice character in Pratigya.

The actor or TV character you missed seeing in the year 2009: Alek from Left Right Left

The show that you are looking forward to do well in the New Year: There are many new shows in the coming year. Hope all the shows get good TRPs.

Your learning experience in 2009: To sustain in this industry you need to work hard and be humble.

Any special incident that has happened to you this year: There was no special incident that happened. But yes, this year I got very close to my mom. Actually I am close to my mom but this year due to my hectic shooting schedule, every day by the time I reach home she is fast asleep.  I hardly get time to spend with her so I am missing her a lot.

Your resolutions for New Year: To work hard and to keep my mom happy.

Any goals set for the New Year: My goal is to do better work this year.

Neha Bamb:

Your favorite serial of 2009: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in fiction and Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka in reality.

The serial which promised a lot but failed to deliver: I think Aapki Antara started with a great concept, but somewhere deviated from it.

The newcomer who has made a name in 2009: The protagonists from Yeh Rishta… Karan Mehra and Hina Khan.

The actor or actress who has made a spectacular comeback in year 2009: I don't think there is anyone like that.

The actor or TV character you missed seeing in the year 2009: I can't tell you about the actor, but yes, I miss the K-Series that used to run on Star Plus. The channels look incomplete without them.

The show that you are looking forward to do well in the New Year: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Your learning experience in 2009: I learnt that life is not constant, and we need to be open to changes.

Any special incident that has happened to you this year: Not really.

Your resolutions for New Year: I will try my best not to disagree with my family, and accept whatever they decide.

Any goals set for the New Year: Not really…

Shilpa Anand:

Your favorite serial of 2009: I hardly watch TV shows. Earlier, I used to watch Balika Vadhu but now it's Uttaran.                                              

The serial which promised a lot but failed to deliver: No Comments.

The newcomer who has made a name in 2009: I don't know the names but I think Tapasya (Rashmi Desai) of Uttaran has made name this year.

The actor or actress who has made a spectacular comeback in year 2009: Laali of Agle Janam (Ratan Rajput)

The actor or TV character you missed seeing in the year 2009: Dr. Atul's character (Pankit Thakkar) that was earlier in DMG, you know the funny one.

The show that you are looking forward to do well in the New Year: Uttaran

Your learning experience in 2009: I have learnt not to lose temper in any situation. Losing temper makes situations worse. Keeping calm in any situation whether it's happy or sad is beneficial. You should not be very excited and react too much to any situation.

Any special incident that has happened to you this year: There are so many special incidents that happened this year. My sister got married… I got a nice brother- in- law.

Your resolutions for New Year: Live for the day,  make everyday happy.

Any goals set for the New Year: You make goals but certain things you achieve and some not. In our career it's unpredictable so I haven't set goals. I'll take things as they come.

Hussain Kuwajerwala:

Your favorite serial of 2009: I enjoyed watching Comedy Circus.

The serial which promised a lot but failed to deliver: There are many serials that failed to deliver and went off air because of low TRPs.

The newcomer who has made a name in 2009: The little girl of Balika Vadhu's Anandi (Avika Gor).

The actor or actress who has made a spectacular comeback in year 2009: I don't watch many shows. So can't say…

The actor or TV character you missed seeing in the year 2009: I don't remember the name but I missed the character of Daksha Chachi form Kyunki…

The show that you are looking forward to do well in the New Year: The YRF shows that are launching. Looking forward to those shows.

Your learning experience in 2009: I have to learn more and more things. But mainly dance, after watching the dancers in DPL.

Any special incident that has happened to you this year: My show Kumkum, which was very close to my heart, went off air this year. That was an emotional and memorable incident that happened this year.

Your resolutions for New Year: I don't make any resolutions. I just work better and try to fulfill my dreams and the expectations of my fans.

Any goals set for the New Year: I don't set goals but yes, I am definitely looking forward to work in films. I need my fans' support and appreciation just like they have given me till date.
