#BestOf2017: Heartbreaking Scenes on Indian Television that left us saddened!

Entertainment has its own way of taking us through a journey. And, on Indian Television, the journey is indeed a roller coaster ride filled with emotions that vary from heartbreak to laughter, and drama to tragedies.

Various shows on TV have given to us, an array of scenes that we as viewers will definitely remember for a lifetime. And, in our yearly wrap up, we thought we'd list down the some of the most heartbreaking scenes that we saw this year.

Read on as we list them down for you:

Beyhadh - When Maya Dies

The concluding scene for Beyhadh was expected and yet one of the most heartbreaking scenes.Maya's words, "Pyaar ki koi hadh nahi hoti. Jab pehle mile toh kashish, kashish jo bandhan ban jata hai, bandhan jo ishq ka rang leta hai, ishq jo bharose pe tika ha, bharosa jo ibadat pe tika hai, ibadat jo junoon ban jata hai, aur junoon jo maut tak pahucha deta hai. Ab junoon dikhane ke liye maut to jaruri thi na, mera marna jaruri tha," sure did manage to win hearts.

With her last words where she says, "Mujhe rihaa kardo Arjun," she breathes her last in his arms, peacefully and content.

Ishqbaaaz - The first break up

The show seemed to have come to a standstill when Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) was thought to be dead in an accident, while Anika (SurbhiChandna) wept and was at a loss for words. If seeing Anika break down wasn't enough for the viewers, the scene was also followed by a short 3 months' time lapse which did change things for the lady from bad to worse.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai - Karthik and Naira's separation

Amidst all the fanfare of Naksh (Rishi Dev) and Keerti's (Mohena Singh) marriage, Karthik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira (Shivangi Joshi) saw their separation owing to a quarrel that led to Naira returning to the Singhania house. The entire separation track was followed by their Love in Greece, however, it did break many hearts.

Dil Se Dil Tak - Shorvori's death

One of the most heartbreaking scenes on television are those that talk about breakups and deaths. And, this scene from Dil Se Dil Tak was indeed a heartbreaking one because all she wished for was to have a happy family with Parth (Siddharth Shukla), but lost her life to brain tumour.

Zindagi Ki Mehek - Mehek's death

To make way for a leap, and to add some twists and turns with melancholy, the makers decided to show Mehek's death, which of course did lead to the viewer's heartbreak. Shot in Rishikesh, with real BSF people, this scene did have hearts going out for Mehek as well as Shaurya's character.
