The atmosphere is so pleasant these days as its Monsoon! The black clouds, the windy breeze, the aroma of mud, the greenery of trees and the showers from the sky makes us fall in love with the season of Monsoon. We all love to enjoy monsoon in our ways and like all of us; our Telly actors also enjoy having fun during monsoon.
TellyBuzz got in touch with the pretty actress Preetika Rao who was last seen playing the character of Aaliya on Color's popular show Beintehaa to know more about her Monsoon masti and her memories related to monsoon.
Let's see what Preetika has to share with us.
Rainy season for me is:
Rainy season for me is lush greenery, cool wind blowing, rains, long drives especially to Lonavala, Cinnamon Tea and a lot of fried food.
Precautions I take during monsoon:
I avoid getting wet in the rain but if I do then I make sure that I carry a towel and warm clothes. I try to avoid myself from catching cold and cough which the season brings along. One should have more of Vitamin C. I try to keep myself warm.
Your monsoon related memories:
I have a lot of fake rain related memories. I have shot a lot in the rains and they are difficult to do because it's very cold and your clothes become very heavy with the water but still you have run and perform. I have a lot of monsoon related memories of last year on sets with fake rains. Our pool area on the sets used to look very pretty when it rains. I used to love sitting there watching the rains through the window.
I also remember shooting for the sequence of Zain (Harshad Arora) and Aaliya meeting in the rains where Aaliya is wearing a Pink Saree. We shot for this sequence the whole night in the fake rains. It was a tough sequence to shoot but it was beautifully shot by our director Maan sir. The fans too loved it because it was a highlight episode.
Fond memories of monsoon in Mumbai:
Recently I had a ride on the Victoria Horse Carriage at the Marine Drive in Mumbai when it was raining. It was a beautiful experience and I would say that everybody should try it our once. There was high tide and a lot of college going students were gathered there to enjoy monsoon. I actually felt the spirit of monsoon there. I also had a lot of memories of going to the waterfalls which comes midway towards Pune.
My likes and dislikes about monsoon:
Along with the relief that monsoon brings in and making the atmosphere cooler and pleasant, the biggest disadvantage in the city like Mumbai is that the city becomes very filthy. The gutters are left open. this time a great attempt has been made by the municipality to ensure cleanliness but I still feel that I would have been in a city like London where monsoon is so pleasant. There is a lot of cleanliness all around and you can just walk in the rains. I hate the flies that come along with monsoon.
Favorite place to visit during monsoon:
I have been fortunate to see most of the rains in the places I have visited. I have seen the rains in the US, Singapore, Macau, Thailand and I have also seen the rains of Ooty in India. Ooty becomes very beautiful when it rains. I would love to see the rains in London.
Things I must carry during monsoon:
An umbrella, a stole to keep myself warm and a jacket.
My favorite monsoon music:
Mohabbate Barsa Dena Tu... Sawaan Aaya Hai... I have been singing this since it has started raining.
My monsoon special food:
Hot Rasam and Rice or just a hot soup.
A moment when I enjoyed with my co-stars:
We used to enjoy having Pakoras and Chai during monsoon on the sets. We had a lot of Chai Pakora moment on sets with the gang. We used to enjoy a lot. Suchitra Ji used to crack a lot of jokes. We had a lot of fun loving people around us so we used to enjoy a lot.
One Bollywood actor you would love to do a rain dance with:
One celebrity you would love to go on a long drive with and where:
I would love to go on a long drive with Farhan Akhtar in Paris.
Any school related memories you have:
I used to hate going to school during monsoon because of the water logging all around and the flies that used to come during our lunch breaks. I used to hate monsoon during my school days.
Monsoon tips for readers:
Take a lot of Vitamin C. Take Tulsi drops which can help you preventing yourself from catching cold and cough. Avoid a lot of Anti-Biotics and go for Ayurvedic during monsoons.
