Balika Vadhu started with a social issue of child marriage which was very popular in the villages of Rajasthan. The shows have beautifully shown the culture in their show which includes Rajasthani culture, dress, jewelry, food, festivals and more. Thus today not only Rajasthani people but the other states are also aware about the Rajasthani culture. Another show is Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai aired on Star Plus is a show which is portraying the culture but in a modern way.
