India's first Hindi satellite channel, Zee TV has completed its 20 years of its glorious journey on 2nd October 2012. Zee TV which diluted the colours of various emotions from laughter to tears in every household by upbringing various kinds of shows from family dramas to kids' shows from reality shows to talk shows. The channel has given us some of unforgettable characters from whom our society has got to learn something. Tellybuzz quizzed some of those characters of the Zee family to know more about their experience being associated with the channel and their wishes for the channel.
In the year 1995, Zee TV came up with a family comedy show named Hum Paanch which is still in the hearts of the audiences and it will be always a treat for the viewers to see the team of five sisters back in action. Bhairavi Raichura, who played Kajal (popularly known as Kajal Bhai in the show) said, "I actually owe my identity as Kajal Bhai to Zee TV. People still recognize me as Kajal Bhai. I got my identity as an actor from Zee TV. I will always be thankful to Zee TV and wish Zee Tv, 200 many more years to come."
On October 17, 2005 Zee TV started up a daily soap named Saat Phere. The story focused on the ups and downs in the life journey of a courageous girl named Saloni who was dark in complexion. The audiences loved the show to their hearts making the show to be on top. When contacted Rajshri Thakur Vaidya, who played the protagonist in the show, she said, "People know me because of Saat Phere. It was a no. 1 show on Zee TV. Zee TV had promoted Saat Phere very well. It was a wonderful experience working with the Zee TV people. It was the first satellite channel when we were in school and we have grown up watching Zee TV serials. I wish all the best to the channel so that it will keep on entertaining people, with good serials and good concepts. My all good wishes are with them."
It was August 14th 2006, when Zee TV aired Banoo Main Teri Dulhann. The show focused on the story of a small town girl named Vidya who was innocent, illiterate but still manages her life well with her life partner Sagar who was mentally challenged and whom she got married to unknowingly. The story of this couple touched hearts of many and gained good numbers in the TRP ranking. The protagonist of the show Vidya aka Divyanka Tripathy says, "It was a lovely experience being part of the Zee TV family. Zee TV has given me my first break. As an actor, I can say that Zee TV conceals its shows very well. It focuses on what the audience requires not only the Indian audience, but the international audience too. Thanks to Zee TV that today I am having an amazing international fan following and on the completion of 20 years, we all got together, danced and had lots of fun. It was good as we rarely get to meet the actors whom we have worked with. I met my old friends from the industry and also the actors whom I used to be a fan of. I wish Zee TV to live long as it has given me a lot. I always believe in thanking people who had brought some difference in my life and Zee TV has brought a lot of difference in my life. I want to thank Zee TV and I wish them to create many more stars in the coming years and itself has become the biggest star."
In 2009, the viewers relived the history of the brave Rani Laxmibai when Zee TV aired Jhansi Ki Rani. The younger Rani Laxmi Bai was played by Ulka Gupta and the elder one was played by Kratika Senger who is now also can be seen playing the role of Aarti in Punar Vivah. When spoke to Kratika, we found that she had an awesome experience working with the Zee TV family. she shares, "It's an awesome experience working with the Zee TV family. It's the second biggest show in which I am working on Zee TV after Jhansi Ki Rani. I believe that Zee TV believed in me that's why they have given a chance to me for playing such strong women oriented characters. I am blessed and happy to be a part of the Zee TV family. I wish to see one more zero added to '20' in Zee TV's successful journey."
On December 19, 2011 Zee TV brought a motivating soap opera named Afsar Bitiya which focuses on the struggling life of Krishna (Mitali Nag) from being a small town to becoming a BDO. We got in touch with Kinshuk Mahajan who said, "It's really a nice experience working with the Zee TV family. We have been shooting for its 20 years celebration. That time I met the artists who have worked with Zee TV. Zee TV is a very nice channel to work with. It has a huge reach amongst the masses. The team of Zee TV and the management has handled the channel very well. I would like to wish them all the very best. I wish Zee TV to move on forever till the time the industry will be having its existence."
