Ankit Bathla enters Sahara One's Mata Ki Chowki as the love interest of Sakshi's daughter post the 18 year leap...

Ankit Bathla who essayed the role of Abhigyan in Zee TV's Bhagonwali - Baante Apni Taqdeer will play the male lead in Sahara One and Swastik Pictures' Mata Ki Chowki post leap.

The long running show which depicts the battle of good versus evil continues into a new generation.

Our source states, "Ankit Bathla plays the role of Arjun, an NRI who is a doctor by profession. Sakshi's (Muskaan Arora) daughter Asha, played by Sangeeta will fall in love with Arjun and the families plan their marriage in due course of time. However, the other evil daughter of Sakshi, Nisha (Swethlana) will create problems as she will also fall for the same guy".

Mata Ki Chowki will have an added flavour of romance in the story line now.

As per the ongoing track, Sheel's (Sudesh Berry) plan has succeeded and Sakshi has given birth to an evil baby who is taken away immediately by Sheel. Durga however had split the evil in the womb and created a divine child to balance the evil kid. Just as Sakshi is not aware of the existence of the evil kid Nisha, Sheel does not know of the positive daughter of Sakshi, Asha.

When contacted, Ankit Bathla confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I have started shooting for Mata Ki Chowki. As you know, the story has taken a leap of 18 years, and I play the love interest of the positive daughter of Sakshi".

His entry is expected to air in the coming week…

    mata ki chowki is the presently longest running tv show. It has completed 800 episodes yesterday. I love sahara one for maintaining good relations with producers and extending shows. I wonder why people watch star plus who end shows like tere liye and kis desh mein hai mera dil. I hate star plus . I love SAHARA ONE
