SAB TV, India's first Comedy Entertainment channel had recently extended two of its show Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo and Mrs. Tendulkar to five days a week, in its quest to better its overall GRP. The channel is now adapting the same strategy to two more of its shows.
As per the recent development, we hear that the channel has decided to air Lapataganj and F.I.R. from Monday to Friday, instead of Monday to Thursday. This change will get into effect from April 1st.
Our source states, "The channel has of late received good viewer response for these two shows; in fact viewers have been requesting to see an extension. As a result of this, Jhankilavan Jasoos which was earlier shifted to the 10 PM slot (when Sajan Re and Mrs. Tendulkar turned five days a week) will now be shifted to Saturday. The show will now air every Saturday at 9 PM".
We contacted Kavita Kaushik aka Chandramukhi Chautala of F.I.R. and she confirmed, "Yes, FIR is getting extended to Fridays too. It is a pleasure to put in more of my time towards the show. We are happy that viewers want to see us more".
Preeti Amin aka Surili of Lapataganj said, "Even I have heard about the show getting extended to Fridays".
We tried contacting Anooj Kapoor, Business Head, SAB TV but he remained unavailable.
Guess SAB TV is making all the right moves at the right time!! Way to go!!
