Bakhtiyaar Irani and Delnaaz lost their father yesterday, i.e. on February 15th. The elderly man had a prolonged heart problem and was kept alive with a ventilator support in the ICU of Kokilaben Hospital for the last few days. He breathed his last yesterday night.

We contacted Rajev Paul, ex-husband of Delnaaz, "Yes, Mehli uncle passed away last night, I am presently at Bakhtiyaar's place. He had a heart problem, and had undergone a bypass surgery long back. He was admitted to the Kokilaben Hospital few days ago after he complained of pain in his chest. His condition had improved in between, and he had got back to Bakhtiyaar's house too. Unfortunately, he had to be rushed again to hospital and was kept under ventilator support. The doctors had mentally prepared us to face this tragedy, as his condition had deteriorated yesterday".

The last rites we hear, would be performed today evening..
