Sanjeeda Shaikh who did wonders as Nimmo in Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka will yet again be at her comic best in Sahara One's romantic comedy titled 'Hi! Padosi...Kaun Hai Doshi'.

Yes, you heard it right!! The actress has been roped in to play the lead in Maximum Productions' upcoming show on Sahara. TellyBuzz was the first to report about this show which will see the likes of Kader Khan, Muni Jha, Sejal Shah and Neelu Kohli.

Sanjeeda we hear, started shoot from yesterday and will essay the bubbly, spunky and stylish young girl who falls in love with a guy from another community. Rashmi Desai was supposed to play the lead, but the girl opted out as she could not set right her dates.

Our source states, "Things could not be worked out with Rashmi, and the channel has finalized Sanjeeda Shaikh as the lead of the show. Unlike the leads of all the Sahara One shows, Sanjeeda will sport a very young look and will be seen in spunky tops. It is the tale of this super classy Gujarati girl who falls in love with a Punjabi guy".

When contacted, Sanjeeda confirmed the news to TellyBuzz and said, "Yes, I am back to fiction. This is one role that I was looking for after Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka. This is a romcom, and I am excited to play this character. She is a very young girl and probably the 'one' girl on the channel who will pose a stylized look".

Hayee Padosan is expected to launch on 24th January and will probably take up the 7.30 PM slot. It is the tale of certain people belonging to various communities who live in a cosmopolitan area.

A fresh face, Giriraj will play the male lead in the show.

Looks like the romcom 'Hi! Padosi' will give a face-lift to Sahara One..
