Imagine along with a new production house, Sanskriti Media and Entertainment is coming up with a historical show on the life of Gautam Buddha. Incidentally, TellyBuzz had earlier reported about yet another production house, Swaminarayan Entertainment coming up with a similar concept on a top rated channel.

Our source tells us, "Sanskriti Media is coming up with the show on Imagine. The show will mostly take a morning slot. It will be based on the life of Gautam Buddha. The shoot of the show will start soon, for which the production house and channel plan to invite His Holiness, Dalai Lama for the muhurat function".

The production house is all set to record the title track of the show, with the leading artists.

When contacted, S. Ramachandran, Creative Director, Sanskriti Media told us, "I cannot talk of the show as it is in its initial stages. Yes, it is true that we are coming up with the show on one of the top GECs. We are also recording the title track with the artists".

We hear that the casting is still in progress, but few names have been finalized. Coincidentally, a new face by name Siddhartha(which happens to be the child name of Gautam Buddha) will play the title role of Buddha. Apart from him, Shahbaaz Khan, Pramod Moutho, Hemant Pandey and Kamal Adib will play pivotal roles.

We tried contacting Shahbaaz Khan but he remained unavailable.

Pramod Moutho who was last seen in Sony's Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah said, "Yes, I am part of the show, but I can't reveal anything as of now".
