Imagine's Bandini, is all set to take an 18 year leap this Thursday. With such big a leap in the offering, the show will soon be studded with lot many new faces playing the younger generation. At the same time, news is that few of the established actors in the show have decided to opt out, post-leap.

Bharat Chawda who played the simpleton Shashank till now, will not be a part of the show anymore. Playing Shashank from now on, will be actor Ajay Krish, who was last seen in Imagine's Basera.

When contacted be confirmed news and said, "Yes, I have opted out of Bandini. I did not want to play an aged character at this stage of my career. I had a talk with Sandipji (Sandip Sickand) and it was a decision taken amicably.

Our source tells us, "Shashank's character post leap, will undergo a sea-change. He will be shown as a shrewd business guy, who has a point to prove, to Dharamraj Mahiavanshi (Ronit Roy). He will be shown to be a guy with attitude, determined to prove his innocence before DM."

As per the ongoing track, it has been that Santo (Aasiya Kazi) almost reached the jaws of death, after having the fake medicines made in Shashank's factory. This has made DM, hate Shashank.

We hear that Ajay Krish will enter the show in the pre-leap sequence itself. In the coming episode, DM will throw Shashank out of the house. Shashank will go through a lot of humiliation at the ends of DM, which make him stronger. Shashank's wife Kaddu (Prerna Wanwari), will however remain a pillar of support to him and will eventually go against her father.

Our source further tells us, "Post-leap the two families, that is DM's family and Shashank's family will be at loggerheads between one another."

We tried calling Ajay Krish, and even sent him a text message but we ddi not get any response from him.

Ajay is believed to have started shoot and his entry sequence will be aired tomorrow.
