Alex O'Neil, husband of actress Shweta Kewani, who stole the limelight when he shook his legs on Bollywood numbers with his wife in Nach Balliye; will now essay a very important role in Zee TV's, Ek Stree Ki Kahaani Jhansi Ki Rani….

Alex who is presently shooting for Santosh Sivan's, Urumi in Malshej along with Prabhu Deva is glad to have got this opportunity in this Contiloe show.

Says Alex, "I have been looking forward to an opportunity to work in this Hindi TV medium from quite a long time; I'm thankful to Contiloe for extending an invitation and carefully crafting an interesting role for me while I continued to work for my film projects."

Talking about his role Alex states, "I am stark contrast to other British characters in Jhansi Ki Rani. Ellis is the level headed, not thoughtful and fair minded individual who seeks to solve conflicts with diplomacy and not violence. He also harbors respect and fascination with India and its culture."

Alex has started shoot and his entry will be aired in the coming week.
