Imagine TV and SOL Productions' unique female chat show Meethi Chhoorii No.1 based on an international concept finally went on air on 14th August, after a short delay in launch. However, the show has garnered mixed reviews from the audience, and has also been caught under the clutches of law.
A Little Birdie informed us that, "Before the show could go on air, Vinod Jain, Trade Union Leader registered an FIR complaint in Santacruz police station against the channel Imagine TV for the offensive statements made in the show."

When contacted, Vinod in an aggressive tone asserted, "Yes I have registered an FIR against the show after watching the promos. I found the usage of certain terms quite offensive; so I decided to take such a staunch step. Now the FIR from Santacruz will be moved on to the Amboli police station and from there it will be handed over to the Imagine TV's office."

When contacted, the host of the show Jay Bhanushali in defense of the show said, "The show has to be taken in a light way and just as a mode of fun and entertainment. Such talks are quite normal when a group of 7-8 girls sit together gossiping."

If this man has kids,he must be torturing them by not letting them watch tv,now a days cartoons also teach how to propose a girl n al dat,n if his kids r grown up,he must b checking their messages when they r in bathroom.

What the hell is wrong with these people?

Sue girls gosspiping? :S Freedom of speech dude :/

If they want to sue something on television first should be the movies? Children watching a sex scene will harm them or children watching this show will?

Okay i get it some parents MAY have a problem with their children watching the show but then NOT ALL parents do! =|

its a regressive show, calling it what it is doesn't mean india is backward, wth happened to morality? its offensive! and Jay is right, girls talk about such stuff but how many of us would be willing to discuss our bust, bum and the period on national tv?

this is India at 63, we are still at the backwards thinking. Because of people like these, people watch shows that has saas bahu drama. this is exactly why filmmakers have repeated story lines and cliched plots, cuz if they try to explore something out side of box, they get sued and harassed for the same.

Come on already, this is 2010, and not 1980.
