Swastik Pictures' Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah on Sony TV
, the tale of a girl Anmol who fights for her father's pride and prestige did not open well and its ratings have been hovering at a meager 0.1 – 0.2 range ever since its launch.
The high drama shown in the recent episodes, that of Anmol (Archana Taide
) getting to know the real face of her chacha Kaliprasad (Varun Badola
), and even the political track wherein Anmol decides to form a party for herself to openly wage a war against her chacha, did not help increase the ratings.
According to the industry grapevine, the show has already been put under the scanner, though the channel is trying its level best to make some dramatic changes to give it a new high.
The latest buzz is that the channel plans to replace the protagonist Archana Taide
, as the coming track will require the protagonist to don a new look which will want her to be more strong and aggressive. The channel feels that Archana might not fit the bill well, and hence are looking for a new face to play the protagonist.
Apart from the buzz of Archana Taide
being replaced, there is a rumour doing rounds that Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah
might shut shop after 54 episodes. In order to improve the ratings and to bring about more new twists, the creative team might also take the decision of changing more of the present cast.
When contacted, Archana Taide
accepted that she has heard of this piece of news. "Yes, I have also heard the rumour of Anmol being replaced. But when I asked the same to the channel authorities and creative team, they denied it. So I really do not know what is happening".
Our khabroo tells us, "Auditions are on to find a new face for Anmol. The channel is also looking into few options when it comes to casting a new face for Anmol. As per the track, the coming episodes will see a major highpoint with the unfortunate death of Anmol's father, Durgaprasad, played by Pramod Moutho
. It is said that the death of Durgaprasad has been brought in for TRP's and it was never a part of the script earlier".
