Imagine's Jyoti has recently seen introduction of a new character in Rashmi (Pooja Sharma) when she accidentally bumps into Jyoti (Sneha Wagh). Jyoti helps the girl by hospitalizing her after which she gets to know that Rashmi is pregnant with the man's child who dumps her.

Tonight's episode will see the entry of a new character Vikrant played by Ankit Arora, who happens to be the cousin of Kabir (Aamir Dalvi). He is also the guy who is responsible for Rashmi's present state. As per the ongoing storyline Jyoti will determine to face the guy who pretended to be in love with Rashmi and betrayed her.

A little birdie tells us, "Vikrant is cousin of Kabir and he gets back to the haveli after completing college. The entire family is delighted to see him come home. Vikrant is a typical playboy who does not fear to trap women. He is very shrewd and understands that she should not bring a black mark to his family prestige. Hence he makes it a habit to cover up for all the mistakes that he has been doing in life."

Our source further adds, "Ankit Arora who came in to the limelight with Ramayan in Imagine will be seen essaying this role. Vikrant's character will be a long running one and will have various shades to portray."

When contacted, Ankit confirmed the news to Tellybuzz and said, "It feels nice to be a part of Imagine again. I enjoyed working with them on Ramayan and took up this role in Jyoti because the character offered to me has a great potential. I play Vikrant who is the cousin of Kabir. He is the person who is unpredictable and is not what he appears to be."

After Ramayan, Ankit had not taken any full-fledged role. He was seen in episodic stories in Koi Aane Ko Hai, Star One Horror Nights.
