A little birdie tells us that Krishna Gokani the main protagonist of Star Plus' Hamari Devrani was in fact unceremoniously removed from the show, even without the girl's knowledge..

Star Plus' two year old afternoon show Hamari Devrani took a quiet leap this week with no promotions whatsoever, coming from the channel. But what shocked the viewers even more was the fact that the main face of the show Krishna Gokani aka Bhakti was bumped off even before the leap happened.

This made us wonder whether all was indeed good between the artist and the unit.

And when we tried to probe further, we got to know from a little birdie from the sets that the girl was in fact unceremoniously dropped from the show.

A little birdie from the sets tells us, "Krishna Gokani has been the face of Hamari Devrani from the time of its inception. All was fine until the girl suffered a major back problem sometime in March this year. She had a slight back problem from December last year, but could not give herself bit of time due to the hectic shoot schedule. She had a major relapse in the month of March this year, wherein she could not even move an inch. The over exertion for the past two years had taken a toll on her back. The doctor then had advised her to be in complete bed rest, without no movement whatsoever even to the wash room. Krishna tried to explain her health situation to the production house, but they did not budge and requested her to come for shoot and complete her scenes on a regular basis. Neglecting the doctor's advice, Krishna somehow managed to shoot for the show for a solid two months. And then somewhere in the third week of April, she was asked to do a scene where she needed to cough a lot owing to the smoke that was filled up in her room. This really aggravated her situation as she was advised by doctors not to cough or sneeze, as it would provide a jerk to her back. After shooting this particular scene, she simply could not move a bit. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, where the doctor had to scream his heart out at her father for bringing her to the hospital in such a condition. The doctor then took the drastic step of talking to the Producer, asking them to give her complete bed rest for five days after which she would get better. The producer too accepted to it, and granted her leave for five days. However, Krishna was not called to shoot for the show after this".

Our source also tells us that, "Krishna Gokani was not even informed of her character dying in the show. She got to know from outside sources, and has been trying to get thro' to the production team for an answer. But they have not been taking her calls".

For the uninitiated, even when Bhakti was delivering her kid, she had not given any expression in her face that she was about to die. This was actually the last scene of Krishna that was shot. The unit gave an abrupt end to the character and depicted indirectly that Bhakti had died after delivering her baby.

"Even when Krishna was shooting for this particular sequence, she did not know that this would be her last scene in the show. All happened so suddenly that one could not believe that the leap was happening without Krishna being part of it", informs our source.

We tried calling Krishna Gokani and even sent her text messages, but she did not revert.

When we called Raakesh Paswan the person who created and developed the character of Bhakti he said, "I was shocked when I got to know that Bhakti is not part of the show now. As far as the story line goes, it is very hard for me to even think of the show without Bhakti being part of it".

Our attempts to get in touch with Producer Shobhana Desai were in vain.
