Sony's CID will turn biweekly from May 22nd, with the introduction of a brand new team which will have talented actors Jasveer Kaur and Maninee De..

TellyBuzz had earlier reported that Sony's CID, produced by Fireworks Productions will bring in a second team which will have three officers and a forensic expert in it. We had also written that all the officers and the forensic team present now, will remain in the show.

In our earlier report, we had mentioned that Hrishikesh Pandey has been finalized as one of the officers in the new team and that he has started shoot.

The latest is that talented actors Jasveer Kaur and Maninee De will be entering CID in due course of time.

According to our source, "Jasveer Kaur will be one of the partners in work for Hrishikesh Pandey. Earlier, there were talks of Alka Verma entering the show, but it was decided otherwise. Maninee De who has been a popular face in Sony from the days of Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi will play the forensic expert. The second male officer has not been finalized yet".

Jasveer and Maninee have started shoot from today. While Hrishikesh's entry sequence will be aired on May 7th, the ladies will enter in the episode to be aired on May 14th.

When contacted, Maninee De confirmed the news and said, "I am very privileged to be part of Sony again. I am Sony's child, and working in the super hit show such as CID is really an honour for me. I am excited to be working with the great team of Shivaji Satamji. I will play a forensic expert in the show; my character name has not been decided yet".

We tried calling Jasveer Kaur, and even sent her a text message but did not get any response. We later heard that Jasveer is busy shooting for CID from today, and that keeps her busy.

Also, TellyBuzz had earlier reported that there is a possibility of CID turning into a biweekly very soon.

A little birdie tells us, "The channel and production house have finalized the details, and CID will be made into a biweekly from May 22nd. The very popular weekend show will thereon air every Friday and Saturday at the 10 PM slot".

We tried calling Producer B.P. Singh, but he remained unavailable. We tried calling Ajay Bhalwankar, Programming Head, Sony but he too was not available.
