Star Plus and Shobhana Desai's Hamari Devrani took a 17 year leap today, with lot many things having changed in the Nanavati family during the course of time.

The main protagonist Bhakti (Krishna Gokani) is no more, and the family had lost her as soon as she gave birth to her daughter Aastha (Vidhi Sindhwad). Aastha is a girl who has a slow mental growth; she is pampered a lot by the Jethanis who have brought her up as their own kid. Manjula Bhabhi's son Aayush will be shown as married; so will be Parul's daughter Sweety. Devakiji (Zankana Desai) is also no more. The family has also taken care of Padmini's daughter born to Mohan, Shikha.

In addition to this, Mohan's character which was earlier played by Madhav Deochake will now be played by Paresh Bhatt.

Vidhi Sindhwad, was chosen to play the role of Aastha as she is very much similar to Krishna Gokani in her looks.

When contacted, Krishna Gokani told us, "Yes, I am not part of the show anymore. I do not want to comment more".

We tried calling Vidhi, but she was not available.

Our attempts to get in touch with Producer Shobhana Desai were in vain.
