The countdown to the launch of Star Plus' Battle of Sexes, Zara Nachke Dikha
has started. Now that the line up of contestants and the jury are announced, the next big decision to be taken is that of the Captains leading the Boys as well as Girls' sides.
Just as we thought that Abhishek Awasthi and Rakhi Sawant
were the hot favorites to bag this prized leadership roles for their respective teams, it turned out to be otherwise.
According to our source, "Aamir Ali and Abhishek Awasthi were in the reckoning for the Captain's role in the Mast Kalandar team. However, the little prodigy Ayush Khedekar
has been nominated as the Captain of the Boy's team. While the buzz was that Rakhi Sawant
is the clear favorite to captain the Masakali team, it is the eldest and the talented of all, Sangeeta Ghosh
who has been finalized as the Captain of the girls side".
When contacted, Sangeeta Ghosh
confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am the captain of the girls' team. This will be declared in the first episode of the show".
We went on to ask Sangeeta whether she was intimated prior to the shoot about this decision, and she said, "No, I got to know of it while we were shooting for the first episode. I was indeed surprised; I thanked the girls for trusting me and choosing me to lead the side. I really hope that I can take up the responsibility well".
Ask her about the exact role of Captains in the battle of sexes, and she quips, "My foremost responsibility is to know the strengths of all my team members. I have to make a strategy based on that, so that we win the ultimate battle".
Lastly Sangeeta commented on the Boys' Captain, Ayush Khedekar
saying "Oh, he is very cute. I think they have selected him as Captain because everybody in the team wanted to be made Captain. So guess they decided on this to avoid fights". The battle lines are drawn now, and it is Ayush's Mast Kalandar V/s Sangeeta Ghosh's Masakali teams from May 1st, on Zara Nachke Dikha..
