TellyBuzz was the first to report that UTV Telly Talkies is producing a show for Imagine, which is a remake of a very popular Tamil serial. We had already given our readers the news that Vibha Chibber of Bidaai fame and Vishnu Sharma will play the parents of the male lead.

For the uninitiated, the story is about five sisters and their bonding. The title of the show is Rakta Sambandh and is set in a Maharashtrian backdrop.

The huge cast for the show is being finalized at the moment.

As we reported earlier, Bhairavi Gupte a known Marathi actress will play the eldest of the five sisters.

According to our source, "Sayantani Ghosh who played the title role in Zee TV's Naaginn has almost been finalized to play one of the sisters. Daljit Kaur, Sonali Nikam have also been locked to play the other two sisters. The main lead who is the youngest of the five sisters will most probably be played by Sriti Jha, who is presently seen in Imagine's Jyoti. Sayantani and Sriti happen to be the personal choices of the channel".

"Rinku Karmarkar, wife of Kiran Karmarkar will be seen playing a pivotal role in the show. Adi Irani will also be seen. Lokesh Gupte and Raj Singh of Pavitra Rishta fame have been finalized as the boys opposite two of the girls. The other male leads have not been finalized yet", informs our source.

"However, none of the finalized actors have signed their contract papers, and things will get clear in few days' time", states our source.

Rinku Karmarkar when inquired told us, "Yes, talks are on. But I have not got a confirmation yet".

Adi Irani accepted that he is part of the show.

Sayantani Ghosh said, "Yes, we are on the verge of finalizing things. I will be able to give you a clear picture in few days' time".

Daljit Kaur said, "I have many other offers in addition to this show. I have not yet decided what I am taking".

Sriti Jha was unavailable for comment.

Raj Singh who played Sachin in Pavitra Rishta said, "Talks are on, and things will be clear in few days' time".

We tried talking to Prashant Jadhav of UTV Telly Talkies but he remained unavailable.

Lot many known names are expected to be part of this huge show. The show will go on floors as soon as the big cast is finalized.
