Swastik Pictures's upcoming show on Sony will have Archana Taide, Pramod Moutho and Varun Badola playing principal roles...

Telly Buzz had recently reported about Swastik Pictures coming up with a show on Sony Entertainment Television, set in the backdrop of a coal mine.

We give you more on the cast of the untitled show. Archana Taide who was last seen in COLORS' Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg will play the lead role in this show. The show will have some big names, including Pramod Moutho who is a very popular face of Bollywood. Talented actor Varun Badola will be seen in a very unique role which he has not played before.
   
According to our source, "The concept of the show is about a girl who goes against her father to stand up for her mother. This will also focus on the purest relationship of a father and daughter. Archana Taide has been finalized to play the female lead. Pramod Moutho who has done films like Khalnaayak, Raja Hindustani and many more will play her father's role. Varun Badola will have a negative role to play in the show, and he plays the chacha of the girl".

When called, Archana Taide confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am playing the lead role in Swastik's new show on Sony. This is a very big opportunity for me as it is a performance oriented role. People have loved me as Suhani in Swarg, and I hope they like my new avatar in this show. I have a new look here, and will play a 21 year old girl. I am happy that Siddharth and Vikas of Swastik Pictures have shown confidence in me, and I will surely give my best".

"I am glad to be working with some experienced actors in this show. I have always learnt from my co-actors; especially Pracheen Chauhan when I was doing Swarg. I thank Rajan Shahi ji for giving me my first break. I am very lucky to have got a lead role, that too in less than a month. A sweet coincidence for me is that my role in Swarg wrapped up on February 8th, and exactly on March 8th, I was finalized for the Swastik show (smiles)", adds Archana.

We tried calling Varun Badola, and even sent him a text message, but did not get any revert. Varun Badola was also seen in Sony's Ladies Special.

As per our source, "Archana's character name is Anmol. Pramod Moutho will play the role of Devi Pratap, while Varun Badola is Kali Pratap. The show will have a rustic look to it, and the first outdoor schedule is to take place in Chattisgarh from 20th of this month".

As reported earlier, the show will have a multiple cast, but as of now, only three principal characters have been finalized. The first promo of the show has already been shot, and will be on air from 15th March. The male lead has also not been finalized yet.

We tried calling Producer Siddharth Tewary, but he remained unavailable. We tried calling Ajay Bhalwankar, Programming Head, Sony, but he too remained unavailable.

The show will launch soon after IPL, on April 26th and will take a prime time slot on Sony.
