We had earlier reported that Azad Kavi aka Dr. Haathi of SAB TV's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, produced by Neela Telefilms
was admitted to hospital as he suffered from health problems due to obesity. The recent news from the sets of the very popular SAB TV
show is that Tanuj Mahashadde
who essays the role of Mr. Iyer met with a freaky accident, which has left him indisposed.
According to our source, "Mr. Iyer was involved in a stunt sequence wherein he had to climb up a ladder. All of a sudden, Tanuj
lost balance and fell down from a height. He has suffered a fracture on one of his legs. The actor will be out of action for nearly two weeks".
We talked to Tanuj Mahashadde
, who said, "Yes, I am lucky that nothing drastic happened to me. God is great, and I am glad that I have just broken my leg after falling from such a height (smiles). My leg has been plastered, and the doctors have said that the plaster will be on for at least another 15 days. So shooting for the show now is out of question. Yes, this is a major loss to me as my role of Mr. Iyer was shaping up well. But as I said, I can only thank God and feel lucky".
The accident happened on Saturday on the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
.Producer Asit Modi
too confirmed the news and said, "Yes, Tanuj
got injured while shooting an action sequence. He fell down from quite a height and has injured himself". Guess Mr. Iyer's forced absence from the show will make way for some funny sequences between Jetha and Babita…
