COLORS promises a lot with the launch of its afternoon band Saanjhi Dopahar from February 15th with two new shows. Agnipareeksha Jeevan Ki…Ganga, produced by BAG Films as we know is the tale of a very talented girl Ganga who is kept at a distance by the people around her, as they feel she is cursed.
   
Jayshree Soni plays the female protagonist while Vivian Dsena who was in Kasamh Se plays the male protagonist. V. M. Badola and Sejal Shah play the girls' parents.

According to our source, "The male lead's family will have five widows in his house. Noted actors Sanyogeeta Bhave, Vaishali Nazareth and Malini Kapoor have been finalized to play three of them. Sanyojita Bhave plays the chachi of the boy while Malini Kapoor will be the eldest bahu of the family".

Confirming the news, Sanyogeeta Bhave says, "Yes, I play one of the widows in the house. The character has a lot of shades in it, and I am excited about this role".

Malini Kapoor will play the eldest bahu of the house. Her character name is Praddhavati; she is a seductress by nature and tries to woo the male lead. Malini too confirmed the news and said, "This is my first show with COLORS. Also I continue my long running association with BAG Films with this show".

Vaishali Nazareth will essay the role of Niharika, yet another widow in the house. When contacted, Vaishali told us, "Yes, I am part of the show. But I can talk to you about my character only after the show goes on air".

The actors to play two other widows have not been finalized yet. As reported earlier, Tarun Khanna will essay the role of the male lead's elder brother.

We tried calling Nilanjana Puryakastha, Business Head, BAG Films but she remained unavailable.
