The year 2010 seems to be perfect for all the prime channels on Indian Television to go on a revamp. First we heard about Star One planning a revamp, and also Star Plus is on the verge of bringing in  a fresh new programming line up. Its now time for Sahara One to bring in some new shows.

Katputli is an upcoming show on Sahara One which will be produced by Jai Productions.

Jai Productions has earlier given shows like Sindoor Tere Naam Ka, Solha Singarr, Rahe Tera Ashirwad.

According to our source, "Katputli has a backdrop of Gujarat, and the story is based on a girl who gets emotionally trapped by her family members, and plays to their tunes. The show is expected to launch post IPL. Auditions are on to get the cast of the show. However, Anang Desai has been short listed to play one of the key roles in the show. Snigdha Srivastav who was the lead of Jai Mehta's Rahe Tera Ashirwad on Colors will in all probability be finalized as the female lead."

Snigdha Srivastav was last seen in a cameo role in Color's Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg.

We called Anang Desai who said " Yes talks are on, but nothing is finalized".

We tried calling Snigdha Srivastav as well as Producer Jai Mehta, but they remained unavailable for comments.
