NDTV Imagine has a good line-up of shows to launch in the New Year. Earlier Telly Buzz had reported about Shakuntalam Telefilms' Devi to launch on Imagine early next year. Now we bring to you the news of Beyond Dreams' upcoming show for NDTV Imagine.

Beyond Dreams combines with Colosceum to produce a new show titled 'Jhamuniya' for Imagine. The show is expected to launch in a prime time slot in January 2010.

Jhamuniya is the story of a girl who has lost her parents at an early age, and is brought up by her relatives. However, the relatives for some reason consider the girl as a bad omen, and from here begins the trials of the little girl.

The production house and channel were looking for new faces to play the leads. However, Bhavna Khatri who earlier played the character of Kulraj in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil has been finalized to play the lead.

According to our source, "Bhavna Khatri will play the title role of Jhamuniya, while a new face will play the male lead. The first schedule of outdoor shoot has already begun in Chattisgarh".

When contacted, Bhavna Khatri told us, "I can't give you any detail about the show till all is decided".

We called Producer Yash Patnaik of Beyond Dreams, but he too refused to divulge any information.

When contacted, Ajit Andhare, CEO, Colosceum accepted that they are co-producing the show along with Beyond Dreams. "Yes, we are co-producing the show Jhamuniya along with Beyond Dreams for Imagine. The first schedule of shoot is going on in Chattisgarh. The show is expected to launch in the first week of January 2010".

Apart from Bhavna Khatri, noted actor Mohan Joshi has been finalized to play the antagonist. Aarti Dave, who was last seen in Imagine's Dehleez will also play one of the negative faces of the show.

Beyond Dreams had earlier produced Monica Mogre Case Files on Zee TV and Chehra for Star Plus.

Wow! Really Kis Desh has turned out to be a lucky show for all the supporting charecters.
Hopefully it'd mark a bright future for the leads too after the show concludes.
Good luck to her. Though the concept does'nt look appealing.

@ kutimani- that's exactly what I thought. Truely kis desh show has turned out very lucky for the whole cast and Star plus is still insane and will continue to not care about their audience.
