Shree.jpg" width="250" height="202" align="right" hspace="5" vspace="5" />A humane effort by the team members of Hats Off and Zee TV's Shree, to save a dying leopard cub unfortunately didn't materialize.

Says the lead actor Pankaj Tiwari, "What had happened was, a five to six month old leopard cub was trying to cross the road and got hit by a speeding bike. Two guys were on the bike and even the rider got hurt. But sadly the leopard cub couldn't survive the accident."

Pankaj elaborates, "Film city is very much close to the forest area and so this kind of incident keeps on happening. One guy called Nilesh from the production team, who is well-versed in handling jungle animals even tried to give the cub CPR but it didn't work."

According to our source, "The Hats Off team rescued the injured person and informed the police authorities. It also informed Karuna Trust Animal Hospital regarding the leopard cub. The team tried informing Borivli National Park authorities too but no one answered the call."

Wish the leopard could've been saved…
