Star Plus' upcoming show Shraddha, produced by Siddhant">Siddhant Cinevision has finally gone on floors, as the entire unit starts shoot from today at Ujjain. Shraddha is the tale about Jaswal family based in Ujjain.

According to our source, "It will be a content oriented show and will focus on faith and religious sentiments. The central character of the show is Shraddha who is very devoted to her parents, and essaying the lead role will be Neha Janpandit who was earlier seen in Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki".

"The cast will see a mix of experienced as well as new faces. Veteran actor Sudhir Dalvi who is popular for his portrayal of Sai Baba on television will play father to the female protagonist. Sukanya Kulkarni, the noted actress will be playing Shraddha's mother. New face Siddharth Dhawan, son of Anil Dhawan will play Shraddha's brother. The male lead is again a new face from Delhi, Varun Sobti", explains our source.

"Shraddha will most likely take an afternoon slot and will launch in June, but nothing is decided yet", concludes our source.

A very elated Neha Janpandit confirmed her presence in the show, saying "Yes, I play the title character of Shraddha. We are all set to start shoot in Ujjain. However, I cannot talk on my character or concept of the show as of now".

We tried calling Producer Manish Goswami, but he remained unavailable for comments.
