Drashti Dhami explains 'Silsila' COMPARING it to her REAL LIFE marriage with Neeraj Khemka

The concept of Colors' Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka is not only bold, but also one of the most relatable things in the urban setting we live in these days.

The couples, along with their busy lives and what they go through otherwise and how that affects their personal relationships is undoubtedly one of the most common factors currently.

In a conversation with Drashti, we asked her as to how would she define the title "Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka" and the concept. To this, she said, "It would be best described as a journey of the two couples and the two best friends, and how their relationship is changing. I think, when a marriage has amassed a long period of time, like the way we call it the '7 year itch', so in this show it's not exactly the 7 year itch, but something pertaining that."

The actress tried to simplify it by giving the example about her real-life marriage, where she said, "For example, if you ask me about my marriage in real life as it has been 3-4 years already and how am I with Neeraj (Khemka) - I will be like, now it's become a habit. Of course, the love and the friendship is always there on the back of your mind, but it's more of a habit. Suppose, when you wake up in the morning, you know he is there, you come back home you know he is there, when there is a Sunday plan, it's with him, a movie needs to be watched, it's with him - So, it just becomes a routine. So connecting that and the habitual factor to the show, it's how sometimes there isn't the right tuning between the partners. Like, there may be one person out of the two that has the right tuning, but the other is probably thinking completely differently. And what repercussions arise because of that different thinking is what the show is truly about."
