After garnering all the praise and appreciation in 2008 for their successful Sapna Babul Ka.. Bidaai, Directors’ Kut is all set to venture into their next show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, premiering January 12th at the 9.30 pm slot, from Monday to Friday, on Star Plus.

Expectations are high as Rajan Shahi takes charge of the magnum opus show on Star Plus. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a story of love finding its way after an arranged marriage and how two people bond and blossom together after entering into sacred ties of matrimony.

As Rajan puts it, “Yeh Rishta is the journey of a couple towards marriage, followed by them falling in love. The process in which the husband and wife understand each other after marriage and get to know each other is the crux of the story”.

The show will kick-off with some beautiful scenes shot in Udaipur, the romantic city.
 
After the stupendous success of Bidaai, can Rajan Shahi come out with yet another successful show with Yeh Rishta?

Sunjoy Wadhwa: 2009 is a year for more creative launches. And I am sure all will try their best to get more creative. I have been associated with Rajan, and know that he is a very intelligent director. I wish him all the best for the new show, and am sure that he has a great concept to offer in Yeh Rishta, in the same way he has delivered for Bidaai..



Renuka Shahane: I am an ardent watcher of Bidaai, and I have told Rajanji about this many times. He believes in the concept of subtle TV making, when compared to the very loud and over dramatic situations shown in many serials. He is one person who does not do things in a regressive way. His presentations are always closer to reality, and I am sure he will go one step ahead in his next show to be launched. I know Rajanji, and I am sure he has many surprises up his sleeve when it comes to Yeh Rishta.


Angad Hasija: I am very happy for Rajan Sir and his new project. I wish that the new show also does well as Bidaai, and gets its share of awards too. Just like us, the leads in Yeh Rishta are new to the industry, and finally I feel like a senior (smiles). To the leads of the show, I will like to say that hard work certainly pays off, and we have seen that happening. It is great to be part of Directors’ Kut, as they are with you always.



Alok Nath: Rajan has proved with Bidaai, and I know that he will get more success with Yeh Rishta. With whatever little I have heard and seen about the show, I know for sure that it is going to be beautiful to watch. All the best to the whole unit of Yeh Rishta!! The young leads of the show are enthusiastic and bubbling with energy. I would say that they have got a great guide in Rajan who will mould them accordingly, and get the best out of them.


Manish Raisinghania: I have earlier worked with Rajan Sir and he is a very good person to work with. I feel the new show Yeh Rishta has a brilliant concept just like Bidaai. He has the right vision and always feels the pulse of the viewers right. I was offered an important role in the show, but I could not take it up earlier as I was committed to my other projects. If he offers me anything the next time, I will grab it with both hands.



Sharad Kelkar: Rajan has proved himself worthy twice now. First was Jassi where he was the Director, and then Bidaai. I wish him all the very best for the success of the new show.





Maninee De: The best part of Rajan Sir is that he has clarity in whatever he does. And above all, he keeps his entire crew and cast happy. He is a good human being, and this shows in his work too. He is a stress-free director, and I know it because I have worked with him in Jassi. He used to make the shoot so lively that we used to enjoy working. As an actor, I feel it is 100% easier to work in a situation where the vibes of the actor and producer/director matches.
