Zee’s weekend show Naaginn, produced by Aruna Irani’s A.K. Films has been garnering good TRPs for the channel, and hence gets an extension and will be aired for one hour instead of half an hour from January 10th, 2009.

Confirming this news to Telly Buzz is Aruna Irani, “Yes, the show will now be aired from 9-10PM, Friday to Sunday. However, this extension is not permanent; the change to one hour will commence from January 10th, and has been granted for one month by the channel”.

According to our source, “The show is doing well, and the new twists have been appreciated by audience. Though the one hour slot for Naaginn has been sanctioned for one month, the decision will be reviewed again after the one month period and could get an extension if the show does well during this phase”.

We talked to the lead actress of the show Shayantani Ghosh who expressed her happiness over this change. “It is going to be double work now, as we need to give six episodes in a week. But I am looking forward to this change, as the coming track promises a lot”, quips the actress.

We tried calling Tarun Mehra, Business Head, Zee TV and he confirmed, "Yes, we are going for an extension". When asked about the reason for this extension, he said, "I cannot divulge that information as of now".
