Changing the story, adding more characters, getting new actors, making disappeared actors make a comeback, the makers of Junoon Aisi Nafrat toh Kaisa Ishq tried all the tricks in the trade to grab the TRPs but they remained elusive. After giving them enough liberty to do their best, the channel people are now it seems pulling the show of air.
Says our reliable source, "Yes, it's true that Junoon is in trouble. There were speculations earlier about Savitri but now it can be said for sure that Junoon which has been showing dismal ratings is about to go off air."
The show which will take its place is it seems Ek Boond Ishq produced by writer Saba Mumtaz under the banner BBC Worldwide Productions India. The story is supposed to be of a disciplined man in love with a simple, homely girl and then what happens next. The promos on air too suggest a violent love story which make quite an impact. Viraf Phiroz Patel and Chhavi Pandey are supposed to play the main leads in this show.
"Junoon which stars Aditya Redij and Mouni Roy has been given two weeks time to wrap up and the last episode will be aired on 6th September. BBC Worldwide Production's show Ek Boond Ishq is coming in place of Savitri and will go on air on the 9th of September. Savitri will see a change in time slot which will now be telecast at 9.30 PM in place of Junoon. The makers of Ek Boond Ishq are busy working on the show at present and the shoot is on," concludes our source.
While no one from the channel or the production house was available to confirm the news we are sure it's time for Junoon to bid adieu.
