The very gorgeous and talented actress Kavita Kaushik who had successfully created a mark in the industry and won millions of hearts with her on-screen character Chandramukhi Chautala was bored of playing the same stereotypical character for almost eight long years in F.I.R.
Kavita left the show in order to try out something new and fresh. Subsequently, she was seen in SAB TV's another show 'Tota Weds Maina' which failed to impress the audiences. Therefore, the show couldn't grab much TRP and wrapped up within three months.
With Kavita stepping out of the show, the makers of F.I.R played it smart and showcased a 20 year leap. It was shown that it's been 20 years since Chandramukhi had been transferred and ever since she left Imaan Chowki, she was declared missing in a landslide in Amarnath.
Like it's said, the show must go on; and actress Chitrashi Rawat was roped in F.I.R to play the role of Chandramukhi's daughter, named Jawalamukhi Chautala who is a sub-inspector at Imaan Chowki. But unfortunately, the Chak De girl couldn't sustain the magic created by Kavita and her level-headed character.
Following a dip in generating positive response from the viewers, the channel decided to bring Kavita back to the show. Regarding the come-back we got in touch with Kavita and she says, "Some things are very obvious, like F.I.R. AND Chandramukhi Chautala being synonym to each other; it is unimaginable to see any other cop in F.I.R. It is a beautiful thing that has happened to me so far. Very few actors are fortunate enough to build an iconic image and maintain it for years. And I feel privileged to be one."
Further Kavita went on to say, "F.I.R is god's blessing to those connected to and to those glued to it. I'm back after realizing this and rediscovering myself during my break. So obviously there is more enthusiasm and excitement in me. It's not only me but my directors and producers who have added new dimensions to my character. The entire team is constantly churning out to produce some good stories."
Talking about the latest twist in the tale with Chitrashi being asked to quit the show, who played the role of Chandramukhi's daughter, Kavita says, "Frankly speaking, I don't enjoy unreal things. The reason I don't get into a daily soap is because it is very superficial and unrealistic. So, why would I play a character of a mother to someone who is as old as me?"
Expressing her gratitude to all her fans and followers, Kavita also says, "I'm grateful to all my fans who got angry when I left the show. It is their unconditional love and support that has brought me back. I feel very blessed to see all the people tweeting and sending me mails. All I can say is thank you very much and I promise I will work hard to make some good stories to keep you entertained."
The good news is that Kavita will be seen in her brand new Chandramukhi avatar starting from tonight's episode. So don't miss to watch your favorite cop back with a bang tonight at 10:30 pm only on SAB TV!
