Father's Day is meant to honour your father, celebrate fatherhood and paternal bonds. It is one of those days when we make our father feel special and loved. This father's day, we at TellyBuzz got in touch with few dads of Tellytown to know how it feels to be a dad...
Hiten Tejwani – a caring father...
Hiten further talks about his role as a father and how he manages to remove time from his busy acting profession. Talking about how he spends time with his kids Hiten says, "It is my wife Gauri who contributes a major part of taking care of our kids, but she always consults and discusses with me about everything. And being parents, it's natural that we do the best that we can. When I'm shooting, it becomes difficult to spend quality time with Katya (daughter) and Nevaan (son) because by the time I reach home, they are already off to sleep. But then I make sure that I get up with them early in the morning and spend quality time together. When we are on a holiday, I play with them, take them to malls and enjoy."
Hiten also shares with TellyBuzz that their father-kids equation is very smooth. Hiten is very lenient in nature, whereas Gauri is a bit strict, so the kids feel more easy and comfortable to approach him all the time. However when it comes to Television even Hiten is strict, "Since our kids are just three and a half years old, we haven't given them the liberty to watch television at all. They are not even aware of the fact that their parents are actors as they have never watched us yet. I feel they are too small to grasp the content which is featured on television these days. No longer are the cartoons innocent and child-like, which create a wrong impression on the kids."
Romit Raj Prasher- re-living his childhood again...
Sharing the moments that he treasures with Reha, Romit says, "There are instances when I reach back home late in the night and my wife Tina asks me to talk to her or watch movie with her. But since I am already exhausted, I ask her to let me sleep but at that time if Reha wakes up, and starts playing with me I don't even realise how time flies off. That is when Tina complains about not spending time with her but staying up late with Reha. (Laughs)"
Romit further goes on to say "Living in a joint family a birth of a child has brought more flavours to our life. Everybody gets so engrossed after the new-born. We all are so attached to Reha that a day without her is like a day without any sunshine."
As being a responsible father, Romit Raj Prasher is good at parenting. He says, "I take care of her in every possible way I can. I guess it's the love for your child that makes you do everything. I've always been active when it comes to bathe her, change her clothes, and feed her lunch and do a lot of things."
So, in simple words, kids become your first priority.
Angad Hasija – a responsible Dad!
He says, "There have been occasions when my cousins or relatives became a father I felt good. However, I could feel the intensity of this happiness only after I myself had a baby girl. After Angel came into this world and the very first time I held her in my hands was the best moment of my life so far." Angad further added that after being a parent he feels more responsible and wishes to do everything to bring a smile on his daughter's face."
Angad talks about how he tries to be a good parent, "Being a parent is not really easy. You need to take care of every little thing, so that you don't lack behind in bringing up your child. I believe the most important element is to give time to your child. Even after an erratic shoot schedule, I somehow find time to be with Angel. Sometimes she gets upset with me, because I'm not at home throughout the day but definitely, when I'm at home, I play with her; engage in a lot of masti, run around her. It's a pleasure to be a father!"
Sachin Shroff – a Dad on the go...
He says, "To be a father is obviously the best feeling in this world, but moreover it brings you a sense of completeness. Once you have a child, you automatically grow more responsible. There is so much of planning that happens every day. Juhi and I were blessed with a baby girl this January, who we named Samaira. Since she is very small, so of course it's Juhi who is with her all the time."
Sachin, who is busy with his shoots is more of a dad on-the go, "My daughter usually stays awake till 1- 1:30 at night. So till the time she doesn't sleep, I stay awake and play with her. Even after a hectic day at work, when I come back home all tired, just one glance at Samaira makes me forget about everything else. It's a kind of privilege to be a dad, which you can only feel once you become one. That internal fulfilment cannot be expressed, and even if expressed, you cannot understand it until you experience that phase".
So, we can conclude that all our young fathers from Telly town believe that, 'The best gift to a father is the child itself"."
Happy Father's Day to Fathers!!!
