Shaan the Shaan-daar "Voice" of the show "Voice of India" will not be hosting the Kids' Series...

Shaan, the Dashing Host of Star Voice of India until recently, will not host the Kids' Series on Star Plus, which is to start this week. Shaan,who anchored Zee SaRaGaMaPa before moving to Star Voice of India, has been the 'Voice' of musical reality shows for almost a decade now.

Telly Buzz reporter Barnali talks to Shaan to know more on this decision. “Too many reasons, I would say which made me take this decision. For now, I would say that they started the next season too soon without giving any break, and I needed a break desperately. Also, I needed to give some time to my kids. They get very possessive when they watch me with the other kids. It’s not possible to make them understand the truth at this small age”, says the fabulous singer and anchor. Shaan also feels that the relentless talking he needs to do during hosting, has taken a toll on his voice, and it is time he gives himself a much-needed break. "I will now concentrate on my personal albums and film songs", quips Shaan.

As the channel is going thro' a 'Search' phase to hit upon the right person to anchor the Kids' Series, our sources have confirmed that Abhaas, Priyani(contestants from VOI) and two members from the Aasma Pop Band, Neeti and Sangeet have given their auditions, for the same. The one selected among these four will take over the reins from Shaan as the future host of the show from next week.

This is a big blow to the show and also fans of Shaan. He will surely be missed as the host. It’s almost impossible to believe that the ever smiling face of Shaan won’t be greeting us in the show. However, for a singer, it is also important that his voice is well rested. While we lose the sweet, yet strong voice of the reality show, let's wish him best of luck for his future endeavours and hope to see his magical voice rule the charts soon, with some great numbers.
