A keen follower of the show, Lata addressed the finalists –Harshit Saxena and Ishmeet Singh-
very affectionately. As excited as she was in being the celebrity guest
at the Grand Finale on November 24 in giving away the trophy to the winner of
the reality musical talent hunt show, she kept reassuring the finalists
that it wasn't the end of the journey for the one who lost the title of
'Voice of India'. 
Producer director Gajendrra Siingh who was present with the finalists says, "I've
yet to see Lataji as charged and enthusiastic about the finale as she
was, when she was with Harshit and Ishmeet. She said her family will
also be present for the finale. She has often expressed her views that
she's not in favour of biased SMS voting by the public, but had agreed
to be a part of the event only because she strongly believed that the
show upheld the traditions of true music. It's a great honour and my
life long ambition to have her endorse the show. I've been trying to
get her on my show for the past 12 years..It's a dream come true". 
What's more, a Lata Mangeshkar Signature Collection watch crafted in 18K Gold and studded with round
brilliant cut diamonds, exclusively designed by Lataji will be gifted
to the two finalists of Star Voice of India.

It's unfortunate that Gajji had to finally resort to this level. He made sure to make a full mockery of music just to earn few extra bucks. As RUsmart said some of the best ones got eliminated because of his game plan. But now what can he do. He had to resort to this final plan to save some face.

It would have been the same if Johny Lever would come to the show to declare the winner. The best ones are already out.
Gajji has not even spared Lata ji...When will this man realise that he is making a mockery out of music? Lata ji I can bet bnever endorsed the show, not after the turns and about turns it has taken! I wish we could get a statement of Lataji if she had made that comment...

Trishankuji, what can be done if Gajji gives out such statements.. He might be doing anything for making the show popular and giving a hype to grand finale.. He might have thought with all such statements he can pull in more crowd.. ;)

I don't believe Lataji said this. This show has made mockery of music in all possible way & is a disgraceful excuse of a talent hunt. The judges have abused, the public, the young contestants with their spiteful comments & disgusting behaviour losing all their credibility & dignity in the viewers eyes. It is high time that Gajji retired so that music & talent do not suffer in the future.
