Zee TV, India's leading Media and Entertainment Company proudly introduces the effervescent colors of Punjab in a well weaved slapstick series, "Chaldi Da Naam Gaddi" from 16th November, 2007 at 9 PM. The story revolves around Kapoor's, a family of performers who belongs to a small town of Punjab, Bhatinda, and that's why the name of their caravan goes " Balle Balle Bhatinda Wale". The concept is spanking new and never been depicted on any channel.

At the launch, Mr Punit Goenka, Network Operating Officer, ZEEL, spoke about Chaldi Da Naam Gaddi to be an outright entertainment comedy. "Each character is different with a streak of eccentricity present in all of them. The show has the potential to make one laugh and cry simultaneously. Being high on emotions, the story will instantly connect with the viewers". With this new addition, Zee TV has strengthened its weekend shows from Friday-Sunday. While Chalti Da Naam Gaddi will occupy the 9PM slot, another show Alladin will be aired at the 9.30 PM slot.
