Colors' Parichay Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka recently took a nine year leap with a major twist being a highlight. Richa Thakral is seen in a different yet positive look after the leap handling the Chopra family. Sonia Singh who is playing the character of Richa replaced Mona Wasu. But many are unaware that she was the first choice for the role.

When we contacted Sonia, she said, " Yes I was the first choice for the role. It so happened that I had given my look test but after that I didn't received a call from  them. I thought  they must have finalized someone else. But at the back  of my mind  I wanted to  do this show. I then signed Rajshri's Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli. Before doing so  I had messaged the production house of Parichay about the same. However, I didn't get a reply from the them immediately. After a while I did get a call to act in  Parichay but  I was already committed to Rajshri. But later on when they contacted me again for the I immediately grabbed the opportunity to play the role of Richa".
