Ardent fans organize rallies to bring back Chandragupta Maurya on air

Loyal fans of the popular show Chandragupta Maurya, Udit Rajpara and Naveen Dhawan organized a rally yesterday, in Juhu ,Mumbai in order to urge the come back of Imagine TV's famous show, Chandragupta Maurya on Sony TV. The rally managed to garner the support of over 200 people from the city. Lead actors of the show Manish Wadhwa, Sooraj Thapar and Tej Sapru also visited the rally to thank their loving fans for the support.  

We contacted Sooraj Thapar who played the role of Dhananand in the show and he said, " In my career of over two decades I haven't seen fans showing so much love to see a show back on air. Hence when we got to know that people have organized rallies across the country,we went to visit them in Mumbai and thank them for showering so much love. We can't blame anyone for this. It is not only our show but thousands of people working behind the camera for Imagine TV who are unemployed and in losses. I feel sorry for everyone".

Udit Rajpara, an ardent fan added, " Sony had agreed to air Chandragupta Maurya, but the NOC required for the same from Imagine TV has yet not been issued after a period of three months. Hence we have requested Sony to resolve the issue at the earliest".

Through Street Plays, fans portrayed the current shows aired on television which are devoid of stories showing sacrifices made by historic figures like Chandragupta Maurya, Chankya amongst many others and only focus on the saas-bahu drama.

Before hitting the city, similar rallies were also organized in Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore.
