I agree with Akash...Let me give you some points why we should not believe the story
1) Please read the interview given by Rucha on India Form on 18 Feb 2011 where she says Mitul is very caring and simple person
2) Some time in April 2012 there was an article in TOI saying there is differences in the marriage and she is asking for money from In Laws and Rucha had denied any such claims and said everything is ok
3) If she is saying her inlaws were beating, harassing her, abusing her, or not letting work, or what ever allegation she has on in Laws y it was not mention earlier she was living her life giving interviews, coming on TV etc.
4) In her first interview on TV on 09 or 10 June 2012 she claim since september 2011 she was not with in laws house.. does it take almost 9 months to come to media and talk about this?
There is something fishy going on... All the media including India Forum should go n investigate anyways if any practical person will see the interview they will feel that Rucha doing only to gain popularity and take out money from their In Laws..
The strong one sided reaction of readers in IF is a clear signal of how media and publicity stunt can nowadays start a parallel trial process. Admittedy the power of media has lately been able to get justice to some victims which otherwise would have never been achieved - howerver this is one other extreme where by just because someone has complained and without knowing anything from the other side.. we announce our judgement and if the victiom is poor or a kid or a female.. the reaction is even more stronger..
I do not think this would be true but here is a struggling actress suddenly coming up with a fresh domestic violence case and goes straight for TV interview?? None finds it may not be that strightforward? Does not anyone remember Raja Choudhary's drama to gain attention in similar ways? Does not anybody remember the unfounded shout of casting couch by Payal Rohtagi just to appear in spotlight and such examples are endless.
In the recently conlcuded masterchef India version the winning lady was potrayed to be another victim of domestic abuse and they sold her story to earn TRP and went on to make her the winner.. None thought that the other side may just have a different story.. At the minimum they deserve a representation to tell their side of the story and then let people make their judgement.. What kind of media it is who is just there to sell emotion of weaker party just because it sells and the opposite does not?
This new media controlled generation just scares me and so I had to speak!!
Now.. please hit the dislike button .. Good Luck :)
does such things happens with independent woman too ? very strange to know
@hermoso - Why is it strange? if you look at western countries, most women are independent (most work) and still there is domestic violence. Domestic violence exists everywhere... nothing to do with a women and her independence. But it might be easier for self-sufficient women to get out of the violent relationship compared to a woman that is dependent on the abuser for livelihood.
I am so glad that this article was posted and Rucha talked openly about rather than hiding it. I mean she is the victim here, its her abuser who should be hiding and feeling ashamed not her. You go girl. Also this is a great message for other women who are suffering domestic violence that you should put a stop to it and that it is WRONG. We should be more open in our society about this wrong to reduce it.
And my friends on here are right. This is a problem all over the world, regardless of how educated one is, or what kind of profession they associate with. People really are just to scared to admit this in public or complain. Together by spreading the word about these instances and how to handle this we can help rid the world of problems like this
