His role of Swayam in Kahiin Toh Hoga catapulted him to fame on the small screen and he has, since then, appeared in many K-serials. Along with his wife Amita, an airhostess, Vikas Sethi took up the challenge of Nach Baliye 3. And, despite noticeably improved performances, the viewers have given this jodi the thumbs down this week.
Having had to replace their choreographer due to unprofessional behaviour before the contest went on air, Vikas and Amita had managed to win the judges' approval last week after two weeks of below average performances.
Their elimination has evoked surprise, especially since their last performance was note worthy in every respect, be it concept, costume or performance. But their scores didn't match upto the praises they received from the three judges. This week Shiney Ahuja and Vidya Balan are the celebrity judges.
Meanwhile, though there is no clarity whether Shakti Kapoor himself chose to opt out because of Shivangi's ailment, or if he was voted out by the viewers, there is a buzz that he may return as a wild card entry. Also, after failed attempts by the channel to bring in Juhi Parmar as a contestant, it seems now actress Karishma Tanna will perform in a few episodes. She is reportedly seeing music composer Bappi Lahiri's son, Bappa and had earlier refused to appear with him before the show went on air. She will now give a solo performance.
With Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (Sony) having had a good start, Star is leaving no stone unturned to keep to their promise of a 'bigger and better edition' of Nach Baliye.
