Ekta Tiwari tipped for Mehendi Rang Layegi

Finally set to go on floors, Mehendi Rang Layegi, begins casting hunt once again...

UTV's next on Sony TV, Mehendi Rang Layegi which is supposed to be a remake of hit-Tamil show Metti Oli, has swung back to its production work which was on halt for a few months.

Due to the delay several actors who were finalized have moved onto other shows.Thus, the production house has begun it's casting process once again.

A source suggests,"Ekta Tiwari, last seen in Star Plus's Tere Mere Sapne, has been tipped to play Prabha, the elder sister, a caring and responsible member of the family. The role was earlier offered to Shubhangi Atre who has now taken up Rajan Shahi's Hawan due to the delay."

Ekta Tiwari refused to comment on the same.

The show is expected to go on floors after Balaji's Bas Itni Si Baat, starring Mona Jaswir Singh and Pawan Shankar, begins shoot.

With this Sony TV has geared up for a new offering in the New Year!

    Hope this remake works. Metti oli was a great show. It aired for yeas in many southern lanuages. But yet to see how many tolerance have we to tolerate yet another five sister-sas bahu saga. Not many south remake doesn't work like Dor
