Metti Oli returns as Mehendi Rang Layegi

With all copyright issues been sorted, shelved Metti Oli, to be relaunched as Mehendi Rang Layegi.

Tellybuzz had earlier reported on UTV production's Metti Oli that was scheduled to be aired on Sony TV. As reported, the show had been scrapped due to a copyright issue.

But the latest we hear is that the production house has resumed work on the shelved project, which has been re-titled as Mehendi Rang Layegi.

The show which never took off, is now all set to go on floors. A source suggests, "The copyright issue has been sorted out.The production house has started approaching actors for look tests. But it is also believed that some finalized cast would remain the same. Namely, Eijaz Khan, Neha Janpandit and Chaitanya Chowdhury."

We contacted Neha Janpandit who informs, "Yes, even I received a call from the production house. But after that there hasn't been an update."

Eijaz Khan remained unavailable for the comment.

Eager fans hope the show finally goes on floors!

    but metti oli! Shocked ROFL no way this is not done!

    yaar its a same typical saas bahu story of 5 sisters and their sasural dramas Unhappy as every one know we already had enough of same kind of shows!

    why dont the creatives bring something new?!

    yayyy... waiting for eijaz khan's entry... Ooo.. had waited long time for this :) but i would like a change in the show, coz i've seen the tamil version and it doesn't suit him
