Star Plus' Ishqbaaaz is currently focusing on their leads, Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) and Anika's (Surbhi Chandna) bloodlines and their childhood.
While Anika's mother's details are not known, Pinky has been misleading Shivaay to believe that Anika's mother is a prostitute. Subsequently, Anika discovers that Shivaay and his look alike Mahi, are actually brothers.
Recently, news of the makers planning to end the character of Mahi broke out and this disheartened quite a majority of the Ishqbaaaz fandom.
But the fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as this is not happening anytime soon.
We got in touch with Producer, Gul Khan who revealed to us, "We are not ending Mahi's track but we might give it a break for a while."Looks like Nakuul Mehta will continue to play a double role for some more time.
