Television's very popular Aamir Ali will now be seen in Karan Johar and Dharma Productions' upcoming flick which has Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor as leads..

After the likes of Rajeev Khandelwal, Eijaz Khan, Karan Singh Grover, Hussain Kuwajerwala and many other leading faces of the small screen, it is now the turn of the charming actor Aamir Ali to make it big on the big screen.

According to a reliable source from the industry, "Aamir Ali has bagged a plump role in a big banner production house. The actor is all set to be seen in Karan Johar's upcoming film under the Dharma Productions banner".

The untitled movie will have the handsome hunk Imran Khan and the gorgeous Sonam Kapoor playing the leads. "Though the concept of the film is kept under wraps, it is believed that Imran Khan plays an assistant director in the film, and Aamir Ali will play the hero who is acting in that particular film", adds our source.

The buzz is that Aamir's girl friend Sanjeeda Sheikh has also been approached for the film. The movie will be directed by Puneet Malhotra.

We called Aamir Ali to know more about his venture into Bollywood, but the actor refused to comment.

Aamir Ali got popular in television with Sahara One's Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki, after which he won the third season of Nach Baliye on Star Plus along with his lady love, Sanjeeda Sheikh. The actor is presently seen in Sony's Bhaskar Bharti. In 2002, Aamir was seen in the movie Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?.
