Kolkata, Feb 9 (IANS) Rahul Banerjee and Mangal Singh Champia Wednesday returned to the Indian archery team for the first Asian Grand Prix at Bangkok Feb 14-20.
Tarundeep Rai and Atanu Pal got the axe from the contingent named after three-day trials by the Archery Association of India.
There has been no change in the women''s recurve team which participated at the Asian meet in October, the AAI said in a release.
The squad:
Recurve: Men: Jayanta Talukdar (SPSB), Mangal Singh Champia, Rahul Banerjee (both Rly) and Thupuvoyi Swuro (Nag). Women: Deepika Kumari (SPSB), L. Bombayla Devi (Rly), Chekrovolu Swuro (Nag) and Rimil Buriuly (Rly).
Compound:
Men: Ch. Jignas (Ser), Rajat Chauhan (Raj), Ritul Chatterjee (AP) and C. Srither (Ser). Women: Gagandeep Kaur (Pun), Manjudha Soy (Jhr), Praveena (Pun) and Jhano Hansdah (Jhr).
