Chennai, Aug 31 (IANS) The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) has given a Rs.10 million contract to CCS Infotech Limited, a Chennai-based IT solution provider, to maintain its PCs and provide IT services to its Kalpakkam facility in Tamil Nadu.
CCS Infotech will supply and maintain PCs, high-end server laptops at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, the 500 MW Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor project, and at the Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited at DAE's Kalpakkam campus, 80 km south of Chennai.
'This order from the department of atomic energy will give us an opportunity to provide effective high end solutions in the government sector,' CCS Infotech director H. Ratna Kumar said here Thursday.
'The increase in orders from the government sector will increase our market share and help us become a leading national player. We are expecting more orders both in the government and public sectors this year,' Hasan Abdul Kader, the CCS MD said.
CCS Infotech Limited surpassed a turnover of Rs.590.27 million for the financial year ending March 2006. It is a leading manufacturer of computers, with an installed base of more than one million and is a business partner for IBM, Acer and Toshiba.
